Atsushi Nagamata returns to Daytona for his second year with the Cubs. A native of Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, Atsushi graduated from Kobe Gakuin University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He is now pursuing a degree in business administration at Keiser University.

Atsushi’s favorite part of working for the Cubs is posting scores on the mechanical scoreboard at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. He also likes working at the concession stand and at the Sonny’s Picnic Porch. His favorite baseball teams are the Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes of the Japanese Pacific League and the Chicago Cubs.
