Saturday’s Game Washed Out

Cubs, Manatees to Make Game Up August 23rd

[DAYTONA BEACH, FL] Saturday’s matchup between the Daytona Cubs and the Brevard County Manatees has been postponed due to rain in the Daytona Beach area and wet grounds at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The game will be made up on August 23rd as part of a doubleheader.

Rain started falling on “The Jack” at around 6:15 p.m. Saturday. Despite attempts by the grounds crew, the field became too wet as the rain did not subside. The postponement is the fourth for the Cubs this season and the third of July.

The Cubs and Manatees finish their home-and-home series with a doubleheader Sunday at Space Coast Stadium in Viera. First pitch is slated for 1:00 p.m.

The Cubs will be back at “The Jack” on Monday to start a three-game series against the Palm Beach Cardinals at 7:05 p.m. It will be “Belly Buster Monday,” presented by Papa John’s Pizza and 95.7 FM The Hog. For just ten dollars, fans get a general admission ticket along with all-you-can-eat pizza, popcorn, peanuts, hot dogs and hamburgers.

To order tickets, call the Cubs’ box office at (386) 257-3172.
