Daytona Outfielder Represents Team on 2008 All-Star Team

[DAYTONA BEACH, FL] – Jim Adduci has been named to the 2008 Florida State League All-Star Team. Adduci is the first Daytona Cubs outfielder to be named an All-Star since Ryan Harvey was named in 2006. This year, Adduci is the lone representative from Daytona.Adduci said he was both shocked and happy to be named. “It’s nice when you put in hard work each game and see some success,” Adduci said. He added that he’s happy to represent the Daytona organization and that right now he’s focused on coming out to the ballpark each day and helping his team as they make a push for the playoffs.

As of August 26, Adduci is batting .293 with 18 doubles, three triples, three homeruns and 43 RBIs. Adduci leads the Cubs with 63 walks, 126 hits, 26 stolen bases and 116 games played. Adduci was drafted by the Marlins organization in the 42nd round of the 2003 draft.
