Daytona Cubs & St. Lucie Mets Postponed Mid-Contest

Game To Be Made Up Beginning In Bottom Of The Fifth, Game Two To Follow

[DAYTONA BEACH, FL] Wednesday’s game between the Daytona Cubs (27-20) and the St. Lucie Mets (25-21) has been postponed due to heavy rains in downtown Daytona Beach. The game was in the top of the fifth inning when heavy rain and wind began to hit Jackie Robinson Ballpark causing the postponement. The game will continue in progress tomorrow night in game one of a doubleheader beginning at 6:05 p.m.

Game one of the doubleheader will continue in the top of the fifth inning with the Cubs leading 3-1 and the Mets at the plate with a man at second and nobody out. Game one of the doubleheader will go the complete nine innings and game two will begin thirty minutes after and be scheduled for seven innings.
